Pyrosil® Silica Pre-treatment Machines

By means of the Pyrosil® silica pre-treatment an active adhesion-promoting coating is applied to the surface, using the effects of the usual flame pre-treatment.

In this process organosilicon compounds are added to the flame (the fuel gas / air mixture) in a low concentration.

The combustion of these compounds in the flame produces amorphous silicon oxide compounds, which form an only few nanometers thick, invisible layer on the surface to be treated. This layer has a high surface tension and provides an ideal basis for durable, scratch-resistant and colorful imprints through the increased and highly reactive surface.
