UVitro® Appropriate Facilities
Our Pyrosil® / silica pre-treatment systems can also be used for the patented UVitro ® process. A prerequisite for this, however, is the licence acquisition of the licence holder.
The UVitro® process provides a further improvement in long-term adhesion of UV inks on glass items. In this method glass items are moved on a linear conveyor from a flame treatment station to a silane flame treatment station. Thus cold-end-treatments are removed before a very thin but very dense and adherent layer with high surface energy is applied to the print product.
In addition to more scratch resistant and more intensely colored printing results, this method offers the further advantage of time and cost savings, as the energy- and time-consuming drying of the printed articles in lehrs is no longer necessary.
